Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Plumbers: Shadow and assist experienced technicians with various plumbing tasks, including pipe fitting, fixture installation, and leak detection.
- Tool Management: Maintain, clean, and organize plumbing tools and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, measuring areas, and ensuring access for equipment and materials.
- Material Handling: Transport, unload, and inventory plumbing materials, pipes, valves, and fittings.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers, answer questions, and provide updates on service progress.
- Code Compliance: Learn and apply local building codes and safety regulations under the supervision of certified leads.
- Emergency Response: Respond to service calls and emergencies in a timely manner to resolve urgent plumbing issues.
Qualifications
- Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to master the trade and a positive attitude toward training and mentorship.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License: Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortability with basic measurements and arithmetic for calculating material needs.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliability: Punctuality and a commitment to showing up for work on time every day.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
