Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and establishing safety barriers
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts)
- Read blueprints and follow instructions from supervisors to execute tasks accurately
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete for foundations and structures
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with material handling
- Perform daily site inspections and report hazards or equipment malfunctions
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces to comply with OSHA standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience or trade school certification
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Tampa Bay
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check required
