Responsibilities
- Operate heavy and light machinery, including forklifts, skid steers, and hand tools, under supervision.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project requirements.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (electricians, carpenters, plumbers) with various on-site tasks.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, strictly adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Perform basic site preparation, including excavation, leveling, and concrete finishing.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices (OSHA 10 preferred but not required).
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to learn and cross-train in different aspects of construction.
