Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing, digging, and leveling areas to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment to designated work areas.
- Assisting Trades: Support journey-level workers by performing tasks such as holding materials, cleaning up debris, and operating basic power tools.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance checks on tools and machinery to ensure longevity and safety.
- Quality Control: Assist in maintaining high standards of workmanship by following blueprints and supervisor instructions.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods.
- Reliable Transportation: Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction or general labor is a plus but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and quality in all tasks performed.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Availability: Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as needed.
