Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in clearing, digging, and preparing construction sites for building projects.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- General Labor: Perform a variety of manual tasks including cleaning work areas, mixing concrete, and assisting skilled tradespeople with their duties.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction machinery and power tools under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Support: Provide on-site support to carpenters, masons, and general foremen.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for long periods, including lifting up to 50+ lbs repeatedly.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable attendance record; ability to work full-time hours.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Experience: Previous construction or general labor experience is preferred but not required.
- Availability: Willingness to work in various weather conditions and overtime as needed.
- Tools: Own basic hand tools is a plus.
