Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in the setup and preparation of job sites, including clearing debris and laying out materials.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment (e.g., skid steers, concrete mixers) under supervision and assist with heavy machinery operations.
- General Labor: Perform various manual labor tasks, including digging, hauling, and assisting skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, etc.).
- Site Maintenance: Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations (OSHA) at all times.
- Documentation: Help maintain accurate logs of materials used and hours worked.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (50+ lbs) for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Familiarity with basic hand tools (hammers, drills, levels) is a plus.
- License: Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors effectively.
- Attitude: Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to safety.
