Responsibilities
- Site Support: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, and plumbers) with daily tasks and project requirements.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials; transport tools and supplies to job sites.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate basic construction equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and generators under supervision.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by removing debris and waste regularly.
- Measurement & Prep: Measure, cut, and prepare materials (wood, metal, concrete) according to blueprints and instructions.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to perform heavy manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and working in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Demonstrated history of punctuality and attendance is essential.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively with the team and foremen.
- Driving: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred; on-the-job training provided for qualified candidates.
