Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Materials: Transport building materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site using dollies, forklifts, or manual labor.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by digging trenches, clearing debris, and leveling the ground.
- Operate Basic Equipment: Safely operate power tools and heavy machinery, including saws, drills, and concrete mixers, under supervision.
- General Cleanup: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping floors, hauling trash, and organizing tools.
- Support Skilled Trades: Aid carpenters, electricians, and masons with various tasks to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a secure workplace for everyone.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for 8+ hours a day, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing on uneven terrain.
- Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to learn new skills and a positive attitude toward training.
- Reliability: Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential for this role.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal instructions from supervisors.
- Driver's License: A valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; high school students are encouraged to apply.
