Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute construction materials, tools, and equipment to work areas using hand trucks, dollies, and forklifts.
- Equipment Operation: Learn to operate basic construction machinery and power tools under the supervision of certified operators.
- Support Skilled Trades: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and masons by fetching supplies and holding materials.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), and report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a productive work environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license is a plus but not mandatory for the entry-level role.
- Attitude: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive team-oriented attitude.
- Experience: No prior construction experience is required; we train the right candidates.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
