Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing, digging, and leveling areas for foundations and structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack building materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Basic Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) by performing manual tasks and holding materials as needed.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by removing debris and ensuring tools are stored properly.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools under supervision once trained.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
- Transportation: Transport materials between storage areas and job sites using hand trucks or dollies.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude and eagerness to receive on-the-job training.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of construction professionals.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time work, including potential weekend shifts or overtime during peak seasons.
