Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in the preparation of construction sites, including excavation, grading, and clearing debris.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment with precision and care.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction tools and equipment (such as brooms, shovels, and wheelbarrows) safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in ensuring work areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations (OSHA standards).
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with foremen and other team members to ensure project milestones are met on time.
- Support Trades: Provide direct assistance to skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) as directed.
Qualifications
- Entry Level: No prior experience required; we provide on-the-job training for the right candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including standing, walking, climbing, and lifting heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs).
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Basic reading and comprehension skills; ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Attitude: A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and advance within the construction industry.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record is a plus.
