Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand and power tools under supervision, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various on-site tasks as needed.
- Cleaning: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning tools and equipment after use.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required for entry-level positions.
- Experience: No prior construction experience necessary; we provide on-the-job training.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Availability: Reliable transportation and ability to work a full-time schedule, including weekends or overtime when required.
- Attitude: Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills quickly.
