Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing and cleaning areas, digging trenches, and leveling ground as directed by the foreman.
- Tool Operation: Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery (when certified) to assist in various construction tasks.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by removing debris and following safety protocols.
- Assist Trades: Provide support to skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, by performing basic setup and cleanup tasks.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work is performed according to blueprints and project specifications to the highest standards.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Previous construction labor experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train motivated candidates with a strong work ethic.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for site transportation.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety equipment is a plus.
- Safety First: Must be committed to adhering to OSHA safety standards and company regulations.
