What You'll Do:
As a Construction Laborer, you will support our skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) in various aspects of the construction process. Your duties will include:
Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and equipment to the correct locations on-site.
- Assist Trades: Support electricians, plumbers, and carpenters with basic tasks to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized job site, adhering to all safety regulations and OSHA guidelines.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment such as forklifts, jackhammers, or generators when trained and certified.
- Quality Control: Perform basic inspections to ensure work meets quality standards and specifications.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Previous construction experience is preferred but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required.
- Teamwork: Must be a reliable team player with a strong work ethic.
- Safety Awareness: Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow workers.
