Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks on active construction sites, including loading and unloading materials efficiently.
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools safely under the supervision of foremen.
- Assist skilled tradesmen (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) with various on-site tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in strict compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and safety plans.
- Perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting, bending, squatting, and standing.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately to the site supervisor.
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50+ lbs repeatedly.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and work long hours.
- Valid Driver’s License is preferred but not always required.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety protocols is a plus.
- No prior experience required; comprehensive on-the-job training is provided.
