Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment at the job site.
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground as directed.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople, including carpenters and electricians, by performing basic tasks and carrying supplies.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery and power tools (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers, saws) safely and according to protocols.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Measurements: Assist in measuring and cutting materials to ensure precise project specifications.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy physical labor, including lifting 50+ lbs repeatedly, standing for long periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Previous construction or landscaping experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Safety Conscious: Must adhere to all safety rules and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors clearly.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
