Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with daily tasks and project requirements.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site.
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding.
- Operate basic construction equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform basic site cleanup, including sweeping, hauling trash, and organizing tools.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and instructions from supervisors.
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn and a strong desire to work in the construction industry.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not strictly required.
- Team-oriented mindset with good communication skills.
