Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the job site using hand trucks, forklifts, or heavy machinery.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and power equipment under supervision to ensure project efficiency.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various tasks to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Measurements: Read and interpret basic blueprints and measuring tapes to assist with layout and cutting.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects and standing on feet.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and punctuality are essential.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions clearly from foremen and supervisors.
- Teamwork: Must be a collaborative team player who works well in a group setting.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends if necessary.
- Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
