Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing and cleaning work areas, removing debris, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute materials, tools, and equipment to the correct locations on the site.
- Assisting Trades: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks as needed.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery under supervision when required.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Excavation & Site Work: Perform basic digging, leveling, and grading tasks as directed by the site supervisor.
- Reporting: Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing, kneeling, and bending.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work well in a team environment.
- Experience: Previous construction or labor experience is preferred but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Valid ID: Must possess a valid driver's license or government-issued ID.
- Availability: Must be available for flexible shifts, including weekends or early mornings if needed.
- Tool Ownership: Basic set of hand tools is a plus but not mandatory.
