Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites efficiently.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, and masons) with daily tasks and material handling.
- Operate basic construction equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and power tools safely.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting forms for concrete.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site by adhering to strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Perform general labor tasks such as painting, cleaning, and minor repairs as directed.
- Follow blueprints and instructions provided by site supervisors to ensure project accuracy.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50+ lbs repeatedly.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools, safety equipment, and site procedures is highly preferred.
- Reliable transportation to and from various job locations in the San Diego area.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat and rain.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred but not always required.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening prior to employment.
- Strong work ethic and a team-oriented attitude.
