Responsibilities
- Execute precise excavation, grading, and foundation work per blueprints
- Operate heavy machinery including skid steers and compactors safely
- Maintain job site cleanliness and OSHA compliance standards
- Assist carpenters and masons with material preparation/installation
- Perform concrete pouring, finishing, and curing procedures
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
- Adhere to strict safety protocols in all nighttime operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with power tools and construction equipment
- Flexible availability for overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Pass pre-employment background/drug screening
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement skills
