Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and skilled trades with material handling and site preparation
- Perform construction cleanup and debris removal to maintain safety standards
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision (e.g., shovels, wheelbarrows)
- Load/unload materials and transport supplies to designated work areas
- Follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Support excavation, framing, and finishing tasks as directed by supervisors
- Assist in setting up and breaking down job site equipment
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required - we train on the job!
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required
- Willingness to work in outdoor environments and variable weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with reliable transportation
- Basic math skills for material measurements and inventory
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and work collaboratively in teams
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
