Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup duties
- Operate basic hand/power tools safely under supervision (hammers, shovels, saws)
- Load/un construction materials and maintain organized job site storage
- Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE (hard hats, vests, steel-toed boots)
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and carrying materials
- Assist with demolition, debris removal, and general site maintenance
- Adapt to changing project schedules and weather conditions
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – we train on the job!
- Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for 8+ hours daily
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measuring materials and following instructions
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Columbus
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
