Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground to ensure a safe working environment.
- Material Handling: Transport, load, and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand and power tools under supervision (e.g., drills, saws, levels, and measuring tapes).
- Assembly: Help assemble and dismantle scaffolding, temporary structures, and concrete forms accurately.
- Quality Control: Perform basic quality checks on work areas to ensure compliance with strict safety and construction standards.
- Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free job site to prevent accidents and delays.
- Assistance: Provide general support to skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; applicants with a strong work ethic are encouraged to apply.
- Experience: No prior construction experience required. We provide hands-on training and mentorship for all new hires.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and overtime during peak seasons.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are highly preferred.
- Attitude: A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine willingness to learn new skills.
