Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Equipment Support: Operate and maintain basic construction machinery and tools under supervision of skilled tradespeople.
- Assisting Trades: Support electricians, plumbers, and carpenters with tasks such as holding materials, cleaning work areas, and fetching supplies.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies on-site.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized job site at the end of each shift.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Availability: Reliable availability for part-time shifts, including weekends and potential overtime.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required for site transport).
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and team leads.
- Experience: Previous construction or landscaping experience is a plus but not required for motivated candidates.
- Teamwork: Strong desire to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Tool Trust: Willingness to learn how to properly handle and care for construction tools.
