Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and ensuring safety protocols
- Assist skilled tradespeople with material handling, excavation, and foundation work
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy machinery (forklifts, excavators) with proper training
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and adhere to OSHA regulations
- Read blueprints and follow instructions from site supervisors
- Perform physical labor including lifting (up to 50 lbs), digging, and concrete pouring
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction or labor experience preferred
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- OSHA 10 certification a plus (training provided)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with daily attendance
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, humidity)
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
