Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic heavy machinery and power tools under supervision (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers, concrete mixers).
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople, including carpenters and electricians, with various tasks as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs and safety reports.
Qualifications
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous construction labor experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Availability: Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays.
- Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
