Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks on construction sites including digging, lifting materials, and operating hand/power tools
- Assist skilled tradespeople with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free work environment
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project specifications
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, drills) with proper training
- Complete daily shift reports and communicate progress to site supervisors
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction or heavy labor experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality for weekend shifts (Fri-Sun)
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and locations
