Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor tasks including excavation, demolition, material handling, and site cleanup
- Operate hand/power tools safely and efficiently (e.g., saws, drills, jackhammers)
- Read and interpret blueprints/schematics to execute construction plans
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material preparation
- Maintain job site safety protocols and report hazards immediately
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment at job sites
- Assist in setting up scaffolding, temporary structures, and safety barriers
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED acceptable)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in all weather conditions
- Basic understanding of construction site safety standards (OSHA knowledge a plus)
- Willingness to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to stand/walk 8+ hours daily on uneven terrain
