Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation, excavation, and material handling tasks
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) safely and efficiently
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople on active sites
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and maintain clean work zones
- Read blueprints and follow project specifications precisely
- Transport materials via forklift and heavy equipment (certification required)
- Complete daily progress reports and inventory logs
Qualifications
- 2+ years commercial construction experience preferred
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Experience with concrete finishing, framing, or demolition
- Must own basic hand tools (hammer, tape measure, utility knife)
