Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting forms for concrete.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute building materials to work areas using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment.
- Assisting Trades: Support carpenters, electricians, and plumbers by fetching tools and performing basic setup tasks.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools and heavy machinery (after training) to assist in the construction process.
- Cleanup & Safety: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing waste and adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Measurements: Perform basic measurements and cutting tasks to assist in the construction process.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy materials (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods.
- Availability: Reliable attendance and the ability to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime when needed.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are preferred.
- Communication: Basic ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate with team leads.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred, but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
- Work Ethic: Motivated to learn new skills and committed to safety on the job site.
