Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Clear and prepare construction sites by removing debris, rocks, and other obstacles.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) with various tasks to ensure project progress.
- Tool Operation: Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery safely and effectively under supervision.
- Site Maintenance: Keep the job site clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure OSHA compliance.
- Measurement: Measure, cut, and shape materials according to blueprints and specifications.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction or labor work is a plus but not required; we provide on-the-job training.
- Reliability: Must have a strong work ethic, be punctual, and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions verbally and in writing from supervisors.
- License: Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred.
