Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting, carrying materials, and operating hand/power tools
- Assist skilled tradespeople with site preparation, cleanup, and equipment setup
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance standards
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and supervisor instructions
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job sites
- Assist in concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks as needed
- Operate light machinery (e.g., forklifts, saws) with proper certification
Qualifications
- Must be physically capable of lifting 50+ pounds and working in extreme weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with consistent attendance
- Willingness to obtain necessary certifications (provided by employer)
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
