Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks on various residential and commercial construction sites, including digging, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Operate basic construction equipment and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) with various aspects of the build process.
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and free of hazards (ADA compliance).
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, and safety instructions.
- Unload materials from delivery trucks and organize storage areas.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Physically fit and capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the greater Chicago area.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions (rain, heat, cold).
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well within a team.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
