Responsibilities
- Assist senior electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components in residential and commercial settings.
- Perform basic wiring tasks, terminate conduit, and strip and connect wires according to NEC standards.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe by removing debris and ensuring proper storage of materials.
- Read and interpret simple blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams under supervision.
- Test electrical systems to ensure proper operation and troubleshoot minor issues with guidance.
- Maintain and care for all tools and equipment used during the workday.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred but not strictly required if trade experience is demonstrated).
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating electrical loads.
- Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness.
- Willingness to obtain required certifications and licenses as you progress in the apprenticeship program.
- Eagerness to learn and a positive attitude towards working in a team environment.
