Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety compliance at all times.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform basic electrical tasks such as stripping wire, terminating connections, and mounting outlets.
- Follow all local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers.
Qualifications
- No prior experience required: A strong willingness to learn is the most important qualification.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record (for site transportation).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material needs.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
