Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with material handling and equipment operation
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris and setting up safety barriers
- Perform excavation, trenching, and backfilling tasks under supervision
- Operate hand/power tools safely (training provided)
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow OSHA safety protocols at all times
- Assist in concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks
- Complete daily progress reports and equipment inspections
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required
- Valid driver's license preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Jacksonville
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
