Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine layouts.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical components and panels to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Use hand and power tools, including conduit benders, drills, and voltage testers.
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris and ensuring proper safety protocols are in place.
- Document work completed accurately and report material usage to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and local building codes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measurements, fractions, and calculations.
- Strong desire to learn the trade and obtain a Journeyman Electrician license.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends if necessary.
