Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety regulations
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Collaborate with senior electricians on complex projects
- Document work completion and maintain accurate service records
- Participate in ongoing safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Tennessee electrical apprentice license or willingness to obtain immediately
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and electrical equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments (climbing, confined spaces)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Willingness to earn Journeyman certification within 2 years
