Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain residential and commercial plumbing systems
- Read blueprints and technical schematics to diagnose issues
- Perform pipefitting, drainage, and fixture installations
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure code compliance
- Operate power tools, diagnostic equipment, and trenching machinery
- Document service reports and maintain inventory of materials
- Collaborate with electricians and HVAC technicians on integrated projects
- Participate in emergency plumbing services on rotation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic plumbing knowledge through trade school or apprenticeship preferred
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Chicago metro area
