Responsibilities
- Execute excavation, demolition, and site preparation tasks with precision
- Operate heavy machinery (bobcats, forklifts, jackhammers) safely and efficiently
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and layout work
- Maintain job site cleanliness and adhere to OSHA safety protocols
- Read blueprints and follow supervisor instructions for project milestones
- Perform concrete pouring, finishing, and curing operations
- Monitor equipment conditions and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience preferred
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Greater New Orleans
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
