Responsibilities
- Perform residential and commercial plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installations efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to determine optimal layouts for piping systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages, and pressure problems.
- Inspect existing piping and fixtures to identify defects, corrosion, or areas requiring repair.
- Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, and faucets.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national plumbing codes and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues and provide cost estimates.
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Journeyman or Apprentice Plumber license.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential plumbing.
- Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes and building regulations.
- Ability to read and understand technical blueprints and diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Current, valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, bending, and working in tight or elevated spaces.
