Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Technicians: Shadow and support journeyman plumbers in residential and commercial repair, maintenance, and installation projects.
- Site Preparation & Cleanup: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, measuring spaces, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Material Management: Transport, unload, and organize tools, pipes, fittings, and other necessary materials efficiently.
- Tool Maintenance: Keep all plumbing tools and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with homeowners and business clients, answering questions and maintaining a positive image of the company.
- Blueprint Reading: Learn to read and interpret basic plumbing blueprints and schematics under supervision.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a current, valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to learn the trade, work hard, and follow safety guidelines is essential.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with basic measurements, fractions, and calculations for cutting and fitting pipes.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to interact with team members and customers.
- High School Diploma: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
