Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing, digging, and leveling areas as directed by supervisors or blueprints.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders, while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency throughout the shift.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret basic construction drawings and instructions to understand project requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required; we train the right candidates.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Tools: Familiarity with hand tools and basic power tools is a plus.
- License: Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Safety: Commitment to following all company safety policies and regulations.
