Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including excavation, concrete pouring, and structural framing
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers) and power tools safely
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings for project implementation
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain site cleanliness
- Collaborate with carpenters, electricians, and other skilled trades
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and safety inspections
- Document work progress and material usage for reporting
Qualifications
- 3+ years of construction labor experience with verifiable references
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Valid Illinois driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with power tools and construction equipment
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement skills
- Emergency response training preferred (CPR/First Aid)
