Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Machinery Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools under supervision to aid in daily operations.
- Trade Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various manual tasks as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Quality Control: Perform basic checks on work to ensure it meets quality standards before moving to the next phase.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking on uneven terrain.
- Valid ID: Must possess a valid driver's license or state ID for identification and potential site access.
- Reliability: Strong history of punctuality and dependability in previous employment.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is a plus but not mandatory.
- Attitude: A positive, eager-to-learn attitude and a commitment to team success.
- Transportation: Reliable personal transportation to commute to the job site.
