Responsibilities
- Site Assistance: Provide general support to carpenters, electricians, and other skilled tradespeople on the weekend construction crew.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Machinery Operation: Operate power tools, forklifts, and heavy machinery as required by project specifications and safety guidelines.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by removing debris and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Measurement & Prep: Assist in measuring, cutting, and preparing materials for installation under supervision.
- Perimeter Security: Monitor the job site to ensure security and prevent unauthorized access.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a construction laborer, helper, or in a skilled trade is preferred but not required for the right attitude.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) and standing/walking on uneven terrain.
- Tools: Basic familiarity with power tools and hand tools is a plus.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
- Reliability: A proven track record of punctuality and dependability.
