Responsibilities
- Assist journeyman electricians with residential, commercial, and industrial electrical installations and repairs.
- Perform routine inspections and safety checks on electrical systems and equipment.
- Install and terminate wiring, conduits, and electrical fixtures according to local codes and blueprints.
- Read and interpret basic electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Prepare materials and tools for daily tasks and assist in inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding job progress.
Qualifications
- No prior experience or formal electrical training is required.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required.
- Must be physically capable of lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude are a plus.
- Strong desire to learn the trade and commitment to safety standards.
