Responsibilities
- Install and Maintain: Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Troubleshoot: Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools to find the cause.
- Repair Work: Replace or repair defective parts, components, or wiring systems, ensuring all work meets local and national electrical codes.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service to clients by explaining electrical problems and discussing work that needs to be done.
- Route Planning: Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure compliance with building and safety codes.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or apprenticeship completion is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No experience required. We offer on-the-job training for qualified candidates. Prior experience in construction or manual labor is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, work in various weather conditions, and climb ladders safely.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required to travel to job sites.
- Math Skills: Strong basic math skills for calculating measurements and reading technical schematics.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
