Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various on-site tasks.
- Operate heavy machinery and hand tools, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and power drills, following all safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the site complies with OSHA safety regulations.
- Dig trenches, prepare foundations, and perform basic site preparation duties as directed.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and safety plans.
- Perform physical labor for long periods, including lifting, carrying, and standing.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous construction experience is a plus but not required; we provide paid on-the-job training.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Basic math skills for measuring and counting materials.
